The scene is the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. More than 150 players showed up at 7:30 PM the night before to play for a first place prize of more than $100,000. The second night of competition began with 28 players at three tables still vying for a spot in the Top 9, and a money finish.

Crapshoot Events are a different kind of poker. The quickly raising blinds and antes mean that you need to be aggressive early and often if you want to stick it out throughout a Crapshoot tournament.

In seat two Lonnie calls the 400 bet and everyone else folds up their cards. The turn pairs up the board, bringing a 7 up for everyone to see. The players check around the table and after seeing a 5 on the river, check around a second time. Lonnie shows off his two pair, Queens and Sevens, when he flips up QJ. Larry takes one look at the two pair and mucks his hand.

108 players came to the table today for the next tournament in the Binions "Hold'em at the Horseshoe" event. The players are looking for the seat into Saturday's big $5,000 dollar event, as well as points in the race for a 2005 WSOP seat, which will go to the best overall performer over the course of the week.
